A Future and a Hope

The Standard has been set up in obedience to God's Word and the vision given to me in the summer of 2012

.  The growth and development of The Standard is dependent on His blessing, our collective prayers and the willingness of the Body of the Church, lead by the Holy Spirit to encourage all business owners to work together for the purpose of bringing glory to God through our respective businesses and communicating the Good News to those around us.

There comes a time, eventually, when we realise how hopeless our own efforts can be.  Once you've been around the block a few times, believing that everything can be done in your own strength and you realise it can't, where do you go?  What are you supposed to do or think?

I can testify, from absolute first hand experience how God has answered my prayers and delivered me and my family from financial and personal ruin.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you" says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope..."

It can be an amazing journey, one which is fraught with pot holes and pitfalls, however, once you know that Jesus has got your back, its a whole new ball game.

This site is a source of information, contemplation and support.  I know its difficult out there, especially if you're not equipped to handle what gets thrown at you. But once you understand the "rules of engagement", you will be proud to state that Jesus is Lord of your life.

Connect Through a Common Thread

The Standard provides a facility that enables all Christians to share their faith, their insights and their testimonies with a view to building up the people around them. In addition, Christian business people who are strong in their faith can help disciple those less confident in their walk with Christ.

Whether you're a one-man-band or you run a corporate, The Standard aims to work alongside fellow business people who already know God or want to know God.

Businesses Lead People

Leadership has responsibilities when it comes to customers and staff, we're called to be the Bible that people read and having a position of responsibility calls for business leaders to be the Pastors of their businesses.

Because people behave differently with peers than they do with authority figures, The Standard focuses on those individual men and women who God has given a responsibility and gift to operate in business and commerce as, naturally, they communicate with different people on different levels.

Business owners have a certain level of autonomy that allows them to determine the direction of their organisations, however, their responsibility increases when staff are involved.  Added to this is ensuring that the finances of the business are kept in the black.

Doing Business Gods Way

I know how difficult running a business can be and so I want to encourage you to connect with The Standard and show your support towards other people in Business.  I believe that God wants us to be shining examples as some of the most successful business people on the planet and He will show us how to achieve this if we ask Him for wisdom.

Most of us have run our businesses our own way and that "way" being the way of the world. As a result, even when we have succeeded, our businesses have still been subject to what the world will throw at us - grief, loss, upset, strife etc.

The Standard is about helping businesses realise that God is the true source of everything and that success through Him will result in our businesses being subject to the will of God - increase, favour, peace, prosperity etc.

Problems may still happen, the enemy will still try to chip away at our businesses, however, we believe the time has come to make a stand for what our faith means in our daily working lives.{tip Isaiah 43:18-19::18 “But forget all that— it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. 19 For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. } (Isaiah 43:18-19 ){/tip}

We will help build each others businesses through this community and help each other become the successes that God has planned for us. (Jeremiah 29:11)

Acknowledging God as CEO

We call on the Holy Spirit to help empower businessmen with guidance and wisdom that we succeed in our businesses whilst increasing our collective understanding about God's promises us in our lives.

The vision for The Standard is:

  • To uplift, encourage and help each other understand the promises of God for our businesses
  • To demonstrate genuine community and support
  • To encourage an enthusiastic battle cry of trusting in God and not ourselves
  • To stand out from the crowd in every walk of life
  • To live with Strength, Honour, Integrity and Honesty
  • To share our testimonies to help build up each other
  • To do life together and not to stand alone
  • To be united in stamping out the enemy from our businesses

Four Elements to Faith

Don't over complicate faith; before you do anything, we are called to: -
1. Repent to God 2. Get baptised to Jesus 3. Be filled with the Holy Spirit
Now you're ready to experience the four elements of faith we are expected to live by....

Lay on Hands

We are to lay hands on the sick and they will be healed.

Cast Out Demons

We have the power to bind up and cast out demons.

Ask for Wisdom

Pray and ask God for Wisdom, He promises to respond

Make Disciples

Be ready to share your faith, always and pass it on.
