What Has God Got Planned For You?

January is a month for articles like this that seemed to create thoughts of what might be. Will this be a year everything goes right? Yet still we are led to think that we have to wait on God. However, perhaps this might change your mind?:

  • Psalms 20:4 May he grant your heart's desires and make all your plans succeed
  • Psalms 37:4 it says Take delight in the Lord and he will give you your hearts desires
  • Philippians 2:13 For God is working in you, giving you the desire and power to do what pleases him

Twenty years ago I had a quadruple heart bypass.  Ten years ago I was told by a cardiac consultant to stop drinking alcohol and lose 30kgs.  In the same year 2006, I came up with an idea for a book and a new business.

If we begin with an assumption that we are at liberty to be disappointed with God, then I believe we are embarking on a journey that will constantly lead us to believe that God will choose to give and take away on a whim, doing so in such a way that constantly perplexes us and therefore leaving no place for us to understand the involvement of Satan in this fallen world.
