Promise

He has given us eternal life and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God's son does not have life. (1 John 5:12)

Command

Loving God means keeping his commandments, and his commandments are not burdensome (1 John 5:3)

Timeless Principle

If you have received the holy spirit, he lives in you, so you don't need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Holy Spirit teaches everything you need to know and what he teaches is true - it is not a lie. So, just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Jesus Christ. (1 John 2:27)

Application

I must trust the Holy Spirit, no matter what is happening in my life, no matter how large the problem appears, the Holy Spirit will give me wisdom and love to accomplish the task.
