With the recent report by the BBC on mainstream media about the Mexicans worshipping Sante Muete (Saint Death), it seems that Satan is starting to make the news, finally! To read the full story on the BBC Web Site, click here.

It's not that Satan has just been exposed, as he is mentioned in the first few chapters of the Bible and periodically throughout the whole of the Bible right to the last section called Revelation. But his presence or activity should not be considered a problem as it can be dealt with very easily.

Neglected Teaching

However the trouble is, the church has neglected so much teaching over many decades and has allowed the world to shape itself instead of being shaped by the Bible.

I know that non-Christians would rubbish anything a Christian would say, but that is to be expected as they don't know the truth. And the truth will set them free. But free from what?

Society today doesn't even know it's in bondage. There are so few examples of proper behaviour from the young to the old that it's not surprising that atrocities happen.

Comparing Mexico & UK

santa muerte 1Comparing Mexico and the UK might seem unfair, however, we live in 2013 don't forget; both countries have access to television, Internet, mobiles, drugs, alcohol, prostitution and the list goes on. So in that respect they are different to us. We also have schools, courtrooms, pubs and clubs and finally we both have churches.

So if there are so many comparisons where does devil worship coming to the mix.

If you consider certain Mexicans chopping up children and leaving their remains on the streets and the singer from the Lost Prophets and the mothers of the abused babies allowing him to film himself, I see no difference between the depravities of our two countries.

What Example?

As I mentioned in my previous article, Is Christianity a vote winning strategy, because our leaders have no idea about the Bible or faith in action, how can anything be passed down to younger generation.

  • Our leaders have allowed new laws that inhibit and outlaw Christianity.
  • Our leaders make offerings to other gods in direct contradiction to the Bible, you shall not worship any other God than me (Exodus 34:14)
  • Our church leaders have chosen to redefine the Bible and Christians are now made out to be criminals if we do not accept same-sex marriages and hold them in our churches.
  • Our church leaders have said it is acceptable for Prince George to become a Buddhist.
  • Our church leaders have stop preaching and teaching the Bible basics.
  • Our schools have blotted out Christianity in favour of multi-faith, meaning no faith.
  • Our churches speak doom and gloom over congregations rendering them powerless and no better than when they entered church.

This list could go on but you get my point!

We are acting out exactly what the Bible has repeatedly talked about, which is rebellion against God. We are saying that we know it all; we are so clever, so intelligent that we do not have a need for God.

Who Would Want Such a Thing?

But there is only one person who would want the world to deteriorate in this way, and that is Satan. And yes, I wonder why all the so-called intelligent people ridicule those who mention his name? what a crafty strategy on Satans part.

These are the same people who are happy to say "Who can worship a God who allows typhoons and earthquakes to kill tens of thousands", this only gives them an excuse to dismiss God yet these same people completely dismiss the possibility of Satan and that it is his doing in the first place.

In the article in on the BBC website, it makes reference to a person placing a statue of Saint Death in her window and then her life changing around for the better. This is the 21st-century example of someone believing in the world and the world delivering however they are unaware of the cost.

Whats The Alternative?

God doesn't say you have no choice, of course you have a choice, and it's called free will. But with that free will if you want to choose what the world offers, you will reap what it has to offer too, such as pain, sorrow and death. By choosing God you can reap the truth, life and blessings with no sorrow added (Proverbs 10:22). It is your choice.

But the reality is, we don't choose the righteous path because:

  • Either we don't feel we deserve it
  • The truth convicts us to the extent that owning up to our own shortcomings, seems too much to bear
  • We're walking around with our heads in the clouds attempting or being blissfully ignorant

No matter which one is applicable, the enemy, Satan, wants us to stay where we are yet the Bible says God will forgive anything as long as we turn away from the crap in our lives, which is called repenting and stating that Jesus is Lord of our lives – pretty simple and straightforward, but it isn't being preached.  Even if and when someone does get saved, there's no follow up and no discipleship or ongoing training (I'm not talking about some of the smaller churches, some of them have got it right).

Break My Heart for What Breaks Yours

The current examples in the news this week are as follows:

  • Satan worship in Mexico
  • Lead singer of the Lost Prophets & two mothers
  • Indian mother and father murdered their daughter aged 14
  • Children as young as 11 and 12 are raping or are being raped in the UK and they believe it is simply how it is these days.

In Jeremiah 19:5 it mentions about the people killing their children as sacrifices to Baal (Satan). You cannot say that the current situation worldwide is an anomaly.

"Break my heart for what breaks yours" is popular worship song Hosanna by Hillsong, which normally invokes a tear or two from persons in the congregation for having a pity party thinking that woe is them.

But surely this line is meant for the people who are so far away from God that it breaks God's heart. It is these things mentioned in this article that break Gods heart. And we are in a position to do something about it. Are we not victorious, did not Jesus' death set us free, is what he did on the cross enough or are we dimissing his compassion and courage.

Who is to blame?

The fall of Mexico I believe can squarely be placed at the feet of the priests who, over decades, have failed to preach the Gospel and instead have simply administered the Bible from the office (i.e. the church building). A few baptisms, weddings and funerals and a church service once or twice a week and that's it, does not constitute teaching the truths of the Bible.

  • Where is the Church in the UK?
  • What is happening over here?
  • Is satanic worship worse that apathy?
  • We are reaping what we've sown!
  • Could you watch a video "nasty" if it were real?
  • What are our children being subjected to now with GTA, Assassins Creed, and all the other X Box & Playstation games?

We have been given the authority

Now, when "all hell is breaking loose", they say they are understaffed in the Exorcism Department and that The Vatican is also unhappy about Mexican priests performing mass exorcisms. What nonsense. We were told to do two things, heal the sick and cast out demons (Matthew 10:8), that's it! We are all considered and referred to as Saints and as born-again Christians we have the power and authority to heal the sick and cast out demons, we should be doing it as a matter of course. Just take a look at Aliss Creswell's ministry and videos, it's not complicated. Link to Gloryfires web site here or search on Google

Because we have consistently refused to read and learn the Bible and allowed our leaders to attain positions of authority without an understanding or a committed belief in God we now find ourselves in this woeful position.

It is imperative that everyone knows that this was going to happen, it is in the Bible! It is also imperative that everyone knows that we have already been given the authority and power to stop this, it's called faith and understanding. And faith comes by hearing and that is hearing the word of God (Romans 10:17).

Put God's Money to Work

It is a travesty the church (Catholic and Church of England) have billions in their coffers yet refuse to spend on educating the masses about Jesus - why?  Who is the head and who is the tail?

The church needs to be paying for advertising to counter what the world is doing to its inhabitants. Christians and non-Christians alike need to understand the truths in such a way that it counters the "noise" everyone is subjected to by the media in general.

Instead of the church hanging on to God's money it needs to be investing in saving people from the tsunami of hate that is engulfing the world.

It's time to lead or get out of the way

The church needs to re-establish the basics, to hit home what we believe and why. This is no time for lukewarm and ineffective messages from the pulpit.

Our preachers, pastors, ministers and evangelists need to have a cohesive and consistent message that ensures that new and existing listeners understand the basics before they start listening to the performance or show on Sunday mornings or at a conference.  Because until we are preaching the true Gospel on Sundays, it will continue to be a "show".

It's all well and good dishing out a verbal sticking plaster, but if the wound is a broken leg it's not much good.

The words we use in our everyday lives and in spoken prayer are more effective than bombs and bullets, but we are not being taught this and we should be.

Pray with our mouths not our minds

Our children need to be taught about God and why there is and always will be one God, irrespective of what our leaders say.  We need to pray for them, the same as we do for our families (1 Timothy 2:2).

It's never too late, but we have a duty to our society to ensure we communicate this message and Gods truth.

We need to pray - individually and corporately.  That means opening our mouths and not so-called "silent prayer". There is no such thing as silent prayer, they are thoughts and meditation.  Read Psalm 94:11 The Lord knows our thoughts and the Lord knows our thoughts are worthless.  Say it loud and say it proud!!!

As read out at Rt Hon Margaret Thatchers Funeral

We can all fight this because it says in Ephesians 6:10, A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armour so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.[d] 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.[e] 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
