Religion: The Battle for Truth, Power, and Influence

Religion has always played a significant role in shaping societies, guiding moral values, and influencing political decisions. However, in the modern world, religion is also seen by some as a tool of control, division, and distraction. Whilst this article explores various themes related to religion, focusing on the perceived manipulation of faiths, the seemingly contentious role of Christianity, the impact of religious migration, and the rise of misleading doctrines like the prosperity gospel, it also looks to reveal the worldly intent relating to religion vs faith.

One Faith, Multiple Religions: A Strategy to Distract Humanity?

The existence of multiple religions is often viewed as a reflection of humanity's diverse beliefs and cultural practices. However, some suggest that this diversity is not merely a natural development but a deliberate strategy to keep humanity divided and distracted from a singular truth.

The Theory of Religious Multiplicity

  • Division and Control: The theory posits that by creating and promoting multiple religions, those in power can divide humanity, making it easier to control and manipulate. This division prevents people from uniting under a single truth that could potentially challenge the status quo.  Satan does not want people to know the one truth, i.e., Belief in Jesus, the one true Son of God.  But Satan is completely known for his subtlety, better to distract humanity and get them to look at alternative religions that gives them what they want and can ‘do what thou wilt’ rather than be told to adhere to the Bible.
  • South Korea, 18th September 2016: World Alliance of Religions for Peace Summit - Signing Ceremony. Seoul, South Korea. The Unity of Religions Agreement was the actual document signed.  There are speculations about significant religious or spiritual events tied to specific dates and locations, such as the mentioned date in South Korea. These events are often shrouded in mystery and are believed by some to be part of larger, hidden agendas.  However, this is not hidden in plain sight.  The agreement signed confirmed unity to precede the one world religion.  The key word here is unity.  God does not want unity of religion, absolutely not.  He wants and expects one faith, in Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son.

No One Interested in Insulting Other Religions Except Jesus: The Unique Challenge of Christianity

Christianity, and specifically the figure of Jesus Christ, often faces unique scrutiny and criticism that other religions do not. This has led to questions about why Christianity is frequently targeted in ways that other faiths are not.

This issue here is that the Bible is offensive to those who will not accept who is Lord and Saviour.  Yes of course there are the detractors who say other religions are this or that, but at the end of the day, Jesus is alive and all the other religious figure-heads are dead.

Christianity Under Fire

  • Cultural Criticism: In many Western societies, Christianity is often the subject of satire, criticism, and even hostility, particularly in media and popular culture. This contrasts with the more cautious approach taken when addressing other religions, which are often treated with greater sensitivity.  Take Islam for example, if anyone says anything about Mohammad, it is met with violence.  However, when challenged about whom they are praying to five times a day, it’s not Allah, but rather Mohammad.  They are not one and the same, one is dead and the other is a Arab Moon god!  Therefore they are simply pagans.
  • Jesus as a Threat: Some suggest that the unique focus on criticising Christianity, and specifically Jesus, stems from the belief that Jesus represents a direct challenge to worldly power structures. His teachings, which emphasise love, humility, and the rejection of materialism, stand in stark contrast to the values often promoted in secular society.  And they would be right.  He is a threat, to everything they want to do on this earth – again ‘do what thou wilt’.

Religious Immigration: Islam and the Global Agenda

The movement of large populations due to religious immigration, particularly from Muslim-majority countries, has become a contentious issue in many parts of the world. Some argue that this migration is being used to further a global agenda of fear and control.

The Role of Islam in Global Politics

  • Fearmongering and Control: The rise of Islamic immigration in Western countries has led to increased fears of cultural and religious conflict. Critics argue that these fears are exploited by political and economic elites to push through policies that might otherwise be resisted, such as increased surveillance, restrictions on free speech, and military interventions.
  • Islam as a Tool of Division: There are claims that Islam is being used as a tool to create division and unrest within societies, making populations more amenable to authoritarian measures. This view, however, is highly controversial and often criticised for its oversimplification and potential to incite xenophobia.  However, when confronted with demands to introduce and implement sharia law in Christian countries is seen as a direct threat to the existing populations.  This is the outworking of multi-culturalism which has been used as a disguise to usher in divisive strategies to execute control.

Historical Atrocities: Religion as a Weapon

Throughout history, religion has been used to justify violence and oppression. Two significant examples often cited are the deaths attributed to Muslim conquests and the actions of the Jesuits and Catholics during periods of religious conflict.

The Death Toll of Religious Wars

  • 890 Million Killed by Muslims: This figure is often cited in discussions about the violent expansion of Islam, particularly during the early Islamic conquests and subsequent conflicts. However, such numbers are highly contested and often exaggerated for ideological purposes.
  • 60 Million Killed by Jesuits/Catholics: Similarly, the actions of the Catholic Church, particularly during the Crusades, the Inquisition, and the colonisation of the Americas, have been associated with significant death tolls. The Jesuits, as a powerful order within the Catholic Church, are sometimes singled out for their role in these events, although the true numbers are difficult to verify.

One Father in Heaven: Challenging Ecclesiastical Authority

I put this section in here to emphasise a point.  In Christianity, the term "Father" is traditionally to be reserved for God, as emphasised by Jesus in the New Testament. However, the Catholic Church and other Christian denominations use the title "Father" for priests, leading to debates about the appropriateness of this practice.

The Debate Over Titles

  • Biblical Interpretation: Critics of the practice argue that calling priests "Father" contradicts Jesus' teachings in the Gospel of Matthew (23:9), where He instructs, "Do not call anyone on earth 'father,' for you have one Father, and he is in heaven." They contend that this title elevates clergy to a status that should be reserved for God alone.
  • Ecclesiastical Tradition: Defenders of the practice argue that the title "Father" is used as a term of respect and reflects the spiritual guidance that priests provide to their congregations. They point to the long-standing tradition within the Church and the use of similar titles in other cultures and religions.

Nevertheless, if it’s in the Bible, you’re instructed to do it.  There are multiple examples where ‘society’ deems it fit to change what the Bible says and tries to explain that the church is being more relevant.  Take the Church of England, ceasing to use the word ‘church’ to make the existence of the CofE more relevant.  It is a typical downward spiral, but why?

Prosperity Gospel: Misleading the Masses?

The Prosperity Gospel, which teaches that faith, positive speech, and donations to religious causes will increase one's wealth and well-being, has become a widespread doctrine in certain Christian circles. However, it is also criticised for distorting the teachings of Jesus and exploiting believers.

The Controversy of Prosperity Teaching

  • Distortion of Scripture: Critics argue that the Prosperity Gospel distorts biblical teachings by focusing on material wealth rather than spiritual growth. They contend that this doctrine misleads believers into thinking that financial success is a sign of divine favour, ignoring the Bible's many warnings about the dangers of wealth.
  • Exploitation of Believers: There are concerns that the Prosperity Gospel exploits vulnerable individuals, particularly those facing financial difficulties, by promising them prosperity in exchange for donations. This practice has led to accusations of fraud and manipulation within certain religious organisations.

Prosperity gospel preaching is more akin to listening to Tony Robbins pitching one of his books, DVD or online events.  However, when it comes to the Bible, it says in 1 Timothy 6:10 ‘The love of money is the root of all evil’.  People want the best of both worlds, one to feel righteous and secondly to amas wealth.

In Mexico, many people worship Santa Muerte, depicted as a skull atop a body and even used in the Day of the Dead opening of James Bond’s film Spectre!  Some years ago the BBC wrote a story about Santa Muerte and having interviewed various people they said following the catholic church got them nothing, however when they changed and worshipped Santa Muerte, they became wealthy.

What people don’t realise is the impact of rejecting God.  Satan can make anyone rich on the earth he controls, as his objective is not to simply kill people as the movies would have you believe, he wants people to reject God, i.e. a figurative two fingers to God.  However, to end result of doing this is to end up in the same place as Satan – the lake of fire.

Conclusion

Religion continues to be a powerful force in shaping the world, both for good and for ill. The themes explored in this article highlight the complex and often controversial role that religion plays in society. Whether through the division of multiple faiths, the unique challenges faced by Christianity, the impacts of religious migration, or the rise of misleading doctrines, it is clear that the interplay between religion and power is a topic that demands careful consideration and ongoing dialogue. As we navigate these issues, it is essential to seek a deeper understanding of the underlying forces at work and the ways in which they influence our beliefs, actions, and societies.

Personally, when it comes to religious migration, I would welcome anyone who is a bible believing born again believer in Jesus Christ and, being as they are ‘part of the family’ they should be helped to get settled and live their lives in peace without persecution.  However, that is definitely not the case when it comes to government – here or in their originating countries.

It seems the objective is to create dissent and friction between all member of society and the driver for this is, and always has been, Satan.

It is imperative you know which side you are on or which side you want to be on.  Know that getting baptised and putting your stake in the ground is the first step.  Then your journey begins.  We are only on this earth for a short period of time.  All will change at a point in the near future, and in most cases the things which are happening in this world, we have no control over, save for the fact we can pray and know we are in fact saved from a fate worse than death – eternally wallowing in a lake of fire, being forever being separated from God.
